It is no secret that Microsoft have plenty of monthly and yearly users. But who is actually using the platform, and how can you use this information to pinpoint new customers?
Luckily, each year Microsoft releases a run-down of all of the important facts and figures associated with the platform. So, we thought we would take a look.
How Many People Are Using Microsoft?
In 2021, more than 1.3 billion devices were running Windows 10. That’s more devices utilising the Microsoft system than there are people in the United Kingdom!
Furthering this, data released by Statistica in January 2022 illustrates that, as of April 2021, Microsoft boasted more than 145 million active users.
Who Is Using Microsoft?
Information collected by Microsoft’s Audience Network also offers invaluable insights into exactly who is using this platform.
From this, we know that in 2021, 66% of Microsoft users were under the age of 45. During the same time period, it was tracked that the gender split of users on this platform was 50/50, and that 37% of people were married. Similarly to this, 46% of Microsoft users had children living at home, while 47% graduated from University. Finally, we also know that 32% of users had a household income in the top 25% of people.
Artificial Intelligence
And that’s not the only statistic that Microsoft’s ‘year in review’ offers. They also spent plenty of time honing their artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, receiving a maximum score of 999,990 on Ms. Pac-Man.
In service of furthering the capabilities of AI, Microsoft also offered 137 grants to individuals and organisations across the world. The aim? To help them protect the agriculture, biodiversity, climate and water resources of our planet.
Using The Data
When it comes to planning your business’ future, collecting relevant data is only half of the challenge. The other comes in how to use this data to grow the number of customers you are receiving, and this is where we can come in.
At Silver Limes, we develop solutions using tools like SharePoint and Power BI. The aim? To help businesses grow their processes and their client-base. So, we are here to help you make the most out of the potential audiences available across the digital sphere.
The data Microsoft continues to collect suggests one main trends: more and more, everyone is utilising Microsoft Platforms to develop their personal and professional lives. So why not you? No matter the industry you work within, the artificial intelligence capabilities that Microsoft is continuing to grow certainly can make your brand one that is truly taking advantage of every digital space available to them.
