Back in 2017, Microsoft released PowerApps which introduced a completely new and innovative way, businesses can create their own applications. In this post we will go over the process of creating your PowerApps and how we keep you informed on the progress of the project every step of the way.
What are PowerApps?
Before we go ahead, it’s best that we give a brief summary of what PowerApps are and their purpose.
Power Apps is a suite of tools that allows you to create your own custom business applications, designed and specified to your business to allow for a connection between multiple work platforms and work data. Realistically, custom software and therefore Power Apps can be hugely useful across a wide range of industry especially where automation, efficiency and innovation are required.
How we start the project
After we have received your consultation we will organise a first initial meeting, where we’ll work on creating a MoSCow document with you. The MoSCow document will be used to outline the project brief and the requirements which include:
- The must-haves of the project
- The should-haves of the project
- The could haves of the project
- The won’t haves of the project
These categories will allow us to gain a better understanding of what you are looking for within the project and how we can plan strategies on reaching your specific requirements.
What you can expect from us
During the project, we provide ongoing support through our friendly, dedicated team who are on hand to answer any questions you may have. During your creating PowerApps project, we keep you updated with the development of the app, with a Low-Level Design document that goes into detail about how the solution works. During development, we will perform multiple tests to make sure that your PowerApp is fully tested and any existing bugs can be eliminated.
Along with technical tests, we will also provide User Acceptance training which allows us to test with users to ensure that your PowerApp will work in its designated environment.
How we finish the project
After we have finished creating your PowerApp and have tested it thoroughly, we put together a handover document to complete the project. To create this document we will go over the requirements covered in the MoSCoW document and compare them to the finished product making sure every project milestone asked for has been completed to a high standard.
After we have completed the project, if you have any concerns with the PowerApp such as questions or there is a part not working correctly, our team will be available to work on your problem and answer any questions that you may have. To do this we will provide you with a support number and email address where you will gain a prompt response to any questions you have.
Our support services are covered within your warranty period which we can negotiate with you at the start of the project or a separate support package can be created when your project is complete.
